French Phrases

Had to laugh in the meeting today.

 

You have to know that I am working in France, otherwise this loses the impact. As usual the meeting has a mix of English, French and chuck in a few other nationallities. You also need to know that we have to allwork in English.

 

So we were going through the meeting he was making the point that we did not want to get stiched up so he said lets not let them present us with a

"Fait accompli ", then he looks towards the French people and said that means that everything is sorted out before we have a say.

I really struggled to keep a straight face. I think there were quite a few other smirks as well. Got me thinking what othe words, or phrases do we use. Add them all together and i’ll be near enough bilingual.
